Sr. Cyber Security Analyst
COMPANY DESCRIPTION
The Cyber Security Analyst works with a wide variety of clients configuring, implementing and running state of the art user behavior analytics solutions. The position offers variety, challenge, responsibility and the opportunity to realize your potential. Qualified candidates will be well-rounded individuals who have a passion for working in a client facing position, implementing robust, scalable, enterprise security solutions. This position travels to customer sites to implement, operationalize and train customers on our cutting edge UEBA solution platform. Non-travel days will be spent working remotely on customer engagement or building reusable artifacts like architecture blueprints, integration patterns, use cases, automation scripts as well as providing pre-sales support with product demos, technical deep-dive workshops, POCs and presentations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver efficient, maintainable, robust, and reusable enterprise solutions
- Install, integrate, and deploy Gurucul security analytics products in the cloud and client environments
- Gather, link, and analyze data from various sources
- Review analytics results, investigate incidents, anomalies, and threat hunt
- Cyber incident management
- Communicate to clients and partners aspects of the product, implementation, and incidents
- Project documentation including technical requirements, architecture, design, and run book
- Develop system designs and work with customers as appropriate throughout the planning, development, and implementation processes
- Work with multiple project teams with competing deadlines
- Serve as a technical resource; provide tech knowledge and capabilities as a team member and individual contributor
- Maintain familiarity with support versions of our product, platform, procedures and processes and technology
- Conduct onsite or in-house customer training sessions
- Communicate with various areas regarding their roles and representing customer performance requirements
- Direct and perform follow-up as necessary to complete projects and elicit customer satisfaction
- Follow installation standards, project plans, and related documentation to ensure a high level of success during the implementation process
- Report project status, schedules, issues, resolutions, and completions
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information System required.
- Master’s in computer science, Engineering or Information System preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working as Cyber Security Analyst in the related field
- CISSP certification is a plus
- Experience with the following technologies: Linux, Win 10, Win 7, XP, Vista, Win Server 2003, Active Directory, SIEM (Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight), Logstash, Hadoop, MySQL, CRATE, Netflow, PCAP, Syslog, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP, IDS / IPS.
- Advanced understanding of common network services (web, mail, FTP, etc), network vulnerabilities, and network attack patterns
- Experience with systems administration
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- $75,000 – $120,000

LOCATION/TRAVEL
- This position is based at the Gurucul HQ in El Segundo, CA.
- Up to 50% travel.
