JOB DESCRIPTION:
Gurucul is seeking an experienced Principal Solution Architect in the Singapore who has experience working at a start-up environment. Successful candidates will have a track record in building, managing, and delivering high performing sales results with an extensive technical background. This individual will play a key role in growing Gurucul’s revenue and market share within their assigned territory.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop expertise with Gurucul products and solutions so as to perform customer demos and technical pre-sales activities
- Present Gurucul products, technology and processes and explain them to a technical and nontechnical audiences
- Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships
- Able to interact with various customer technical leads including Developers, Architects, and C level
- Present product value proposition and present in a clear and professional manner
- Develop strong business relationships with technical representatives of customers, prospects and partners
- Consult with clients to gain an understanding of their business and technical requirements
- Train customer’s software architects, developers and security engineers in Company’s technology and security best practices
- Ability to troubleshoot to deliver solution for customer requirements to ensure success
- Respond to requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for information (RFIs)
- Provide consistent, proactive, technical leadership and expertise to ensure the success of the initial implementation and integration
- Collaborate with Regional Sales Manager for all technical aspects of sales cycle in order to meet revenue and quarterly territory quota objectives
- Work internally with Engineering and Product Management to convey new requirements, develop product enhancements and improve usability
- Attend and provide support at regional marketing events and functions as required
- Improve POC methodology and best practices
- Peer knowledge sharing
- Plan and manage product evaluations
- Assist in development and improvement of sales aids, demonstrations, data sets and ROI models
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum 7 years of Enterprise Security Software experience
- A comfort level engaging the “C” suite with a track record of closing large complex software licensing deals
- Hands on implementation experience to install and configure security software and solutions
- Hands on experience on Linux, Hadoop/BigData and SQL
- Strong understanding of standard IT platform logs and experience with analyzing logs data
- Strong understanding of hybrid (cloud + enterprise) distributed architecture and security controls
- Ability to conduct technical component level architecture deep-dive workshops and infrastructure sizing exercise
- Understanding of Identity access management concepts and corresponding data
- Strong executive presence and polish
- Exceptional interpersonal, written and presentation skills
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high growth with the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
- A self-starter who is able to work independently and remotely
- Relevant experience in SIEM, DLP, IAM, and managed security services
- Track record of success and knowledge with prospects and customers in the defined territory
