Gurucul Sees Record Growth in Revenue, Customers, and Partners in 2021

Focus on next-generation SIEM leads to 480% sales growth, inclusion as a visionary in Gartner SIEM Magic Quadrant, expanded presence in EMEA and APAC, and new additions to the leadership team

Los Angeles, Calif. – (BUSINESS WIRE) February 8, 2022 Gurucul, a leader in cloud and on-premise security analytics and automation for streamlining threat detection and response leveraging its next-gen SIEM, XDR, UEBA, and Identity Analytics products, today recapped another strong year of growth that included record-breaking sales and the most successful single quarter in the company’s history in terms of revenue and bookings. In 2021, Gurucul achieved 480% year-over-year (YoY) sales growth and 92% growth in annual recurring revenue. In further recognition of the strength of Gurucul’s offerings, Gartner named Gurucul as a Visionary with strong execution in the 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) in its inaugural year.

“As threat actors continue to successfully compromise organizations, introduce new malware and ransomware, and insider threats increase, organizations are relying on next-gen SIEM solutions to thwart attackers from disrupting or damaging their business. Through more advanced analytics and high-fidelity automation for detection and response, Gurucul’s Next Generation SIEM leverages true Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), versus primarily rule-based solutions, to more effectively prioritize and automate security analyst tasks and provide timely response for remediating threats. The fact that we can provide complete infrastructure and application-wide visibility, more advanced analytical capabilities, and accurately identify attacks earlier in the attack chain, all without hefty escalating costs like other SIEM solutions is of significant tangible benefit to our customers,” said Saryu Nayyar, CEO of Gurucul. “This record performance and customer adoption globally in 2021 is a testament to our strong focus on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of today’s security operations team for both external and internal threats across the enterprise and multi-cloud environments while providing utmost scalability and flexibility to customers and partners at a low cost.  We look forward to an even stronger 2022.”

Gurucul also saw a 200% increase in customers in the APAC and EMEA regions in 2021, along with new hires and new partners to support them. Gurucul’s channel program grew by leaps and bounds as well, with the launch of a new global Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) partner program, new technical enablement programs for MSSPs, System integrators and Value-Added Resellers, and a 200% increase in the channel team. As a result of this work, Gurucul saw 150% growth YoY in their partner network and 50% YoY revenue growth from partners.

Furthermore, Gurucul made several new strategic hires to its management team and added a new member to its Advisory Board in 2021, including:
