Former Blue Coat and Juniper Networks Executive to Lead UBA Vendor’s Expansion in the Government Sector

LOS ANGELES – Gurucul, the user behavior analytics and identity access intelligence company, today announced that veteran cyber security sales executive Beau Hutto has joined the company as vice president of federal sales. The Former Blue Coat Systems and Juniper Networks executive will drive Gurucul’s penetration into the strategic government market.

Gurucul recently won three awards from Cyber Defense Magazine for user behavior analytics and insider threat prevention and detection, as well as the coveted SC Magazine 2016 Trust Award for Best Behavior Analytics and Enterprise Threat Detection at the recent 2016 RSA Conference.

“Following the administration’s recent $19B Cybersecurity National Action Plan selling advanced protection technology like Gurucul’s user behavior analytics platform to government agencies just became a very big opportunity,” said Saryu Nayyar, CEO of Gurucul. “Beau Hutto’s deep contacts within the DoD, US Air Force and other agencies, along with his consultative approach will help Gurucul quickly accelerate its growth in the Federal market.”

“Ever since Edward Snowden, federal agencies have been focused on detecting and preventing insider threats as well as cyberattacks,” said Beau Hutto. “This market is primed for Gurucul’s big data, identity based behavioral analytics approach to security. I look forward to growing our federal market share and in the process helping agencies defend against insider threats and user account compromise.”
