DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Gurucul is seeking a talented and experienced DevOps professional to join our team. The DevOps responsibilities include setting up CI/CD process, recommending and implementing the toolset to automate the process.

To be successful as a DevOps Lead, you should have a firm grasp of CI/CD practices and the ability to effectively manage and mentor development teams. An outstanding DevOps Lead should have excellent interpersonal problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Building and setting up new development and CI/CD tools and infrastructure
• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
• Ensuring that CI/CD tools and product built using those tools, both are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
• Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development  follows established processes and works as intended.
• Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
• Monitoring and troubleshooting the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage.
• Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools
• Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
• Mentoring and guiding the team members
• Managing periodic reporting on the progress to the management and the customer
• Excellent troubleshooting
• Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services
• Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles
• Own the smooth working of the CI/CD pipeline throughout the build process.
• Hands on to fix anything required to make the pipeline function well for regular releases.
• Branch creation, merge etc.
• Ensure that regular reports are generated thru pipeline for code coverage, junit tests, angular test cases etc.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field preferred.
• 6+ years of experience as a DevOps or in a similar role.
• Working knowledge of DevOps, techniques, and frameworks to deliver solutions.
• Leadership and management experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
